The location is phenomenal to walk to times square grand central station or 5th street. Super close to yiur Broadway show. Great ice cream next door. The bell boys are so helpful. Storing luggage after check out was complimentary! Checkin was easy and fast with polite service.The view was good from the room. The only issue was that the elevator was stuck with my husband ON IT! Once they got him off...in only 10mins...no one really followed up. Its kind of a big deal to be trapped in an elevator with 8 strangers.

I stayed at three different hotels in Times Square this trip, and RIU was by far the best. - The front desk staff was incredibly helpful; they even went the extra mile to check the back office and secured a high-floor room for us upon request. -Unlike the Tempo or Renaissance nearby, RIU provides free bottled water, which is a huge plus. -The soundproofing was also fantastic—we had a very peaceful sleep. -The breakfast was a highlight! A vast variety of food and the staff were so energetic and warm—I loved seeing them celebrate birthdays with the guests. We were worried about the elevator and breakfast lines based on other reviews, but we didn’t experience any issues. Even during peak hours, the wait was less than 10 minutes. It seems they’ve improved their crowd control significantly. Highly recommend!

I chose this hotel as part of my first time to New York. The staff could not have been more helpful, from the reception staff, the door staff and the breakfast staff. Upon arrival the lobby area was full of life. The location was outstanding for what we wanted to see during our trip, located a 2 minute walk from the bustling Times Square, everything we wanted was within walking distance and Ubers are always close. Approx 5 minute walk to the subway station. Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable, equipped with a stocked coffee machine and iron for clothing. We were lucky to have a nice view from the hotel room. By the time we’d get back to the hotel during the evening, the room had been immaculately tidied. Would highly recommend staying here!

Loved our stay at RIU New York Manhattan Times Square. Our Superior Deluxe room was large with a very comfortable bed and the views! Shower and bathroom was great with all we needed. We had a coffee maker and a small fridge for storage. The staff were very helpful and friendly we loved the breakfast staff, yes you have to queue at busy times but it didn’t take long and all the food items were fresh and replenished quickly. Happy Hour at the bar is from 4pm to 8pm and the wine was great and ranged from 6 to 9 dollars a bargain in NYC.

Great hotel! Professional and friendly service from each team member. Comfortable beds, perfect temperature throughout the hotel without it being stuffy. Spacious room with adequate storage, safe and mini fridge. Only issue is the bathroom doesn’t offer the best privacy. However, I would happily stay again at this hotel. Easy access to Times Square, subway stops and places to eat, drink and shop.

Everything was clean and lovely in this hotel. Every hotel employee interaction was pleasant and we felt well taken care of. The location was close to the subway and the theaters we were attending which was just what we were looking for. Our beds were comfortable. The room held a good temperature even in winter. One morning getting down the elevator about 10am took some time waiting for one with room. But on other days when we left at 8 and 9am we had no trouble or wait at all. Thanks for helping us have an excellent trip!

I really enjoyed my stay! I had a lovely room on the 38th floor with a great view of times square. The lifts were really fast so didn't take long to get up and down. Breakfast was great and well organised. It was my birthday during my stay and a small box of chocolates was left in my room which was a really nice surprise.

The Hotel Riu Plaza Manhattan was the perfect location for a tourist visit to NYC. We loved being right near Time Square so we could experience it every time we went out. And the hotel was within walking distance to all things theater, shopping, site-seeing & restaurants / bars in the Upper West side. It also has easy access to the subway stations to take you anywhere in the city. The hotel is safe despite being very busy with lots of people going in & out. There was a lot of security shuffling VIP guests up & down the elevators, so the wait to get on the elevators was sometimes quiet long. The rooms were small, but very clean and updated. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. There is no laundry in the hotel, but there is a coin laundry near-by or you can send it out for a fee. The service was attentive, friendly, and were willing to help in any way. Hotel Riu was exactly what we wanted for this fun trip to NYC.

This was our first time in nyc and we wanted it to be special-the riu plaza made it special. The location was absolutely amazing, literally 2 mins out the front enterance take a right and you were on Times Square by the famous stairs. We were all over the city doing lots of activities and steps everyday; coming back to our room every time was a dream like view and such a relaxing experience. We were on the 38th floor so noise was to a minimum up there, completely different to being on the street, which was nice when wanting to sleep and relax. We had breakfast included with our stay, we only ate out once as the breakfast was so good at the hotel. A huge selection of hot food, meats/cheeses, fruit, yoghurt and pastries. The coffee and juices were lovely also. All in all we could not of asked for anymore from the staff at the hotel. The whole team throughout work exceptionally hard. Our room was always clean and made up without fault, our bathroom inside our room was a perfect size and the shower was 10/10. We loved it and will be staying again when we return one day. We were very happy with our stay at RIU Plaza Manhattan Times Square. The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of New York City, making it very convenient for walking and exploring the city. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. The hotel and our room were very clean, which was very important to us. My boyfriend and I spent the whole day walking around the city and always enjoyed coming back to a clean, cozy, and comfortable room. The room itself was beautiful and comfortable, and the king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, providing excellent rest. We also truly appreciated the service on our check-out day. Our flight was very late, and the hotel kindly stored our luggage after check-out, allowing us to continue exploring the city stress-free and return later to pick up our bags — such a great and convenient service. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of fresh and tasty options. A special thank you to the hotel for such a thoughtful gesture — it was my birthday, and the hotel surprised me with candies left in my room. It meant a lot to me and made my stay even more special. We had only positive impressions and would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended! ?
