My family and I stayed at Hard Rock Hotel NYC in February 2026. We were originally booked for 4 nights but had to extend our stay for an additional 3 nights due to our flights being cancelled because of the big blizzard. We loved our stay! The rooms were modern and comfortable. There were cool rock details in the hotel room. The location cannot be beat - close to Time Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, etc. The staff were very genuine, friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay!

We had a great experience at the Hard Rock. I had to knock off a star due to the fact that I specifically chose this hotel for the two queen beds but that is not what I got. Their queen beds are double beds. I guess it’s a New York thing?? We absolutely loved the location. Walkable to so many places. The roof top bar is amazing. There is a heated outdoor enclosed area to lounge and enjoy the rooftop all winter. The room was clean and modern. Housekeeping did an amazing job keeping everything clean and replenished including complimentary bottled water.

We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for a week in early January. This place is fantastic. The staff were very welcoming, rooms were warm and inviting and the location is outstanding. We travelled as a family of 4 and found the whole experience wonderful. The minute we got out of the car and the staff member immediately helped us with our bags and helped us get settled. The food at the restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced for the location. If you are looking for a perfect spot to stay in New York with dedicated staff and clean rooms, this is it. It was also a nice touch to have the staff at the first floor desk always say good morning or offer help each day, brought a very kind and welcoming vibe to the whole trip. Hopefully we will return soon, however it’s a long trip from Australia!!

I stayed at Hard Rock Hotel New York and overall it was a decent stay, but it didn’t quite live up to the price. The hotel is nice and well kept, and both the room and common areas were clean. The memorabilia throughout the property is very cool and definitely adds to the Hard Rock vibe. Check in was quick and easy, which was appreciated. The location is a big plus, especially if you’re looking to be close to Times Square or the Theater District. That said, I was a little disappointed with the $75 room upgrade. The upgrade seemed to be nothing more than a door separating the foyer from the bedroom, which didn’t feel worth the extra cost. The room itself was small, but that’s pretty typical for NYC. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows weren’t very comfortable. The in room “cooler” also didn’t get very cold, which was frustrating. Valet service was another downside. It took about an hour to get our car back, and it sounded like a lot of other guests were dealing with the same issue. Overall, it’s a nice hotel in a great location, but for the price, I was just expecting a little more out of it given the price point.

Chester hit a high note (bell desk) when greeting me, he ensured my comfort and happiness. Despite some previous reviews about staff issues, Chester provided excellent service. He guided me to the elevators for check-in, offered car and bag services, and wished me a happy Friday. The front desk had two professional alert employees, and I was promptly attended to. I wish I remembered their names the ladies was unique to me. Although I arrived early, they assured me my room would be ready by 2:30 PM and it was. My clean, spacious, Classic King room was playing jazz and had a great view. I requested a fridge for chilled items, the staff promptly placed it and ensured it was working properly. They even returned to check for the proper cooling temperature. The room had a $20/day credit for the rooftop and lobby bars, and a discount at the gift shop. I enjoyed the rooftop lovely view, great service, and swanky vibe, it’s not the overly commercial Hard Rock I’ve seen before. The hotel had a variety of memorabilia. Loved the Christmas tree decked out with electric guitars. I easily walked to dinner nearby and used taxis, Lyft, and subway in cold weather. Some low notes the Alexa in the room played commercials occasionally, the hallway was easily audible due to the flooring, no blackout curtain only a sheer. Despite this, the hotel staff greeted me like a special guest, and my experience was pleasant and reasonably priced. I look forward to returning and being treated well again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel New York during the week of New Year’s. We are a family of four with young children and wanted to experience the festive season in NYC—and this hotel was absolutely perfect for that. The property is just a block away from M&M’s World and is super walkable to Broadway shows, the Rockefeller Center ice rink, 5th and 6th Avenue, and the subway. The Big Bus Hop-On Hop-Off tour even starts right across the street! We ordered room service for the kids every morning and for dinner as well, and the quality was excellent with great menu options. If you want to experience local food and live the New York lifestyle for a couple of days, this is the ideal location. We loved Jos Pizza Broadway, Le Parisian Bakery, Max Brenner, Glaze Hot Chocolate, Bubba Gump Shrimp, Wu Dim Sum, Melt Shop—plus so many more options nearby. A special mention goes to Manager David, who was incredibly kind and helpful to us on multiple occasions. His hospitality truly made our stay even more memorable and welcoming. The best part of all was that the hotel gives a special invite to around 30 guests to see the New Year’s Eve ball drop up close at 11 PM. You’re escorted past the crowds into a reserved area, which was a total game changer for us—especially with children. We got to enjoy the magic of the ball drop without the stress or the crush of the crowds. Overall, our stay worked out perfectly. We highly recommend Hard Rock Hotel New York for families visiting during the holiday season!

Nick at check in made my daughter’s first impression of NYC memorable and even gave her a hard rock pin to remember her first trip by. The service we had at the restaurant from Paul was also fantastic. Location was ideal for attending shows and the rockettes! Housekeeping was super friendly every morning and was wonderful to come back after a lot of walking to a tidy room with new towels and water. Super impressed by our stay, quality of service, cleanliness, food and location were all 5 stars!

My new favorite hotel in NYC!!! Came here around Christmas for two nights—we got upgraded to a high floor, King Bedroom. Aside from AMEX perks, the hotel gives you a $20 credit per night to use! The decor and ambiance of the hotel is beautiful. Our room was fairly small, typical NYC hotel size, was chic and clean! Room service and housekeeping were both great. Location is perfect, right by Rockefeller, so we could see the Christmas tree easily! Right in Times Square area as well. Will definitely be back!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hard Rock Hotel NYC due to a false smoking fee and the unprofessional way the situation was handled. I was charged a $500 smoking fee despite never smoking in the room. My boyfriend smoked outside the hotel every single time and never inside. At checkout around 3:00 AM, the front desk staff did not provide me with a receipt, did not email my final bill, and did not mention any smoking charge. I only discovered the fee later when it appeared on my Apple Card, which was very frustrating and confusing. When I called the hotel to ask for clarification, I spoke with someone named Chris at the front desk who was extremely unprofessional. He refused to provide a manager’s name, would not transfer me to a manager, and was dismissive throughout the call. He claimed that security responded to a smoking complaint at 8:43 AM on December 26, but this makes no sense as we had already checked out at 3:00 AM. No one was even in the room at that time, so the explanation does not add up. I will be posting my situation on all my social media platforms, and all the hotel, nyc tips and nyc groups I am in. I travel so much, and have never ever experienced such a false claim. The only “evidence” that they have is dust from a backwood that is used to smoke w77d in. W87d is legal to smoke in NYC outside everywhere. No one would even want to smoke inside a room with windows that don’t even open. This is all just false false false. Do you understand that in a room with windows that don’t open, the whole smoke detector alarm would go off instantly if anyone was to ever smoke inside a room. My room legit smelled like flowers and butterflies when I left it because of all the body care products i use. Just false accusations, and I will use a lawyer if necessary. I have sent emails to corporate, and any email I was able to find online. This entire situation shows poor communication, lack of accountability, and unprofessional customer service. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected far better treatment and transparency. I am currently disputing this charge and hope management takes this seriously, as this experience reflects very poorly on the brand.

Can’t recommend this hotel enough. Our stay was great. Smooth check in and lovely, polite staff. Considering the location I didn’t not expect the room to be so clean but it was spotless. We really enjoyed our trip to NYC, thanks for your hospitality!!
