The Times Square EDITION offers a luxurious and centrally-located escape within the bustling heart of New York City. Guests consistently praise the impeccable service, stylish rooms, and convenient access to Broadway and other attractions. While some find the resort fee and restaurant wait times noteworthy, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, particularly due to the exceptional staff.
We come to the Edition as a very convenient place to stay when we are coming to see shows on and around Broadway. The staff at the Edition, from the guys who greet you at street level and help you with transportation, to the front desk, the concierge (like John), our favorite bartender Brendon and cocktail server Joseph- thank you for always being magnificent at your jobs but more importantly, making us feel like part of the family. The rooms are a little tight but, this is NYC and space is valuable. For customer service and location, you can’t pick a better hotel than the Edition!!
We had a great stay here. We were reluctant at first due to the hectic location at Times Square, but the hotel is an oasis of peace and calm in the middle of it all. Super well located to get to various subway lines and explore the city. The room was spacious with cool views and the housekeepers did a lovely job keeping the room tidy. The gym was also great, with cool views and plenty of equipment, including weights, for a decent work out. The destination fee is slightly annoying and on the high side ($40 a day), but you can use it towards the bar and also get MoMa tickets with it, so not all bad. The lady who checked us in was fairly rude and indifferent but the rest of the staff we encountered were nice and friendly. Overall a great stay!
May 2026: Stayed here for seven nights and enjoyed my time here. Got a king size bed on floor 38 overlooking Times Square. Room was very nice. Note there's a $40 resort credit applied on your check in day & every day of your stay. Pros: Bed was very comfortable. King size pillows were very comfortable. Nice toiletries. Shower was great (very nice hot water and pressure). Gym was huge for a hotel. Elevator process is nice because it adds another layer of security. Cons: Not many. $40 resort credit can be applied to food at the restaurant. Just something to plan for. We often had breakfast to use the credit. If you don't use the credit, I can understand customers would not like this. But just plan accordingly to use the $40 per day.
This is one of my favorite hotels to stay at in the U.S. The rooms are beautifully designed, clean, and the added additions of Le Labo in the bathrooms is wonderful. It feels so serene when you need to get away from the loud and lights of Times Square but also perfectly located to whatever you need. A short walk from Central Park, Grand Central, 5th Ave, etc. Front desk is always beyond helpful (thank you, Angelo. You are a gem.) John at concierge services is one of the kindest and most helpful gentlemen I’ve met, and Serana and Eric at the hotel bar made every evening of mine feel like I was coming home to friends. I miss them already! The only reason this review isn’t higher is because the hotel restaurant doesn’t live up to the rest of the experience at the hotel. Food is fine but expect to wait 2 hours for your meal (dinner), and servers aren’t great in communication or hospitality. Dined there twice hoping the first time was a fluke but no, that’s just how it is. The hotel itself is beautiful and the lounge is a great spot — outside for the views and socializing, inside if you want to work on the couches/tables, or have a more intimate setting. I’ll be back! Thank you, all!
This hotel has the prime spot in Times Square. Right in the heart of all the touristy stuff, easy access to the metro and shops that I wouldn’t find in the DMV. There were always workers in the front greeting and making sure we felt welcomed. With The Edit benefits, The front desk was very happy to accommodate an early check-in and late check-out, which was the one thing I worried about the most because of the timing of my flights. Our balcony suite had an amazing view over Times Square that we could enjoy in just our complimentary robes that were given. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy. The hotel in general made us feel content, although I wouldn’t stay in Times Square again, just because it’s more of a ‘been there done that’ experience, I would still definitely recommend this hotel for those that haven’t experienced the hustle and bustle of Times Square.
We came to New York for our anniversary and it was my first trip to NY, so it was already special. Veronica at the front office made it unforgettable. She surprised us with a room upgrade, had sweets waiting for us, and even left a handwritten card. It was so thoughtful and personal, it truly meant a lot. When we realized our trip might be affected by the blizzard, Angel/Angelo? assured us we could stay in the same room if needed, which gave us so much peace of mind. That level of care is rare and we really appreciated how calm and helpful he was. Also, the gentlemen by the door were always so welcoming, saying hi every time we walked in and offering umbrellas without us even having to ask. The hospitality here made our first NYC experience feel warm and taken care of. We’ll never forget it.
I had a very good experience staying at this hotel. The location is absolutely unbeatable if you want to be right in the heart of the action (5/5). Both the service and the rooms were impressive and high-quality (4/5 for both), making the stay very comfortable. While it was a great visit overall, there is just a tiny bit of room for improvement to hit that perfect 5-star mark. Definitely a top-tier choice for a city stay.
We stayed at The Edition in Times Square for one night and had an amazing experience. I had been to the Flatiron location several times, so I was familiar with the high standards of this hotel, and they even exceeded them at this location. The entire staff was accommodating, friendly, professional and eager to help in any way. The rooms were immaculate. We had a drink at the bar and it was the best martini we've ever had. We ordered room service the next morning, and it was excellent. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a great night!
If you’re looking for immaculate service in a stunning property, look no further. The location of this property is perfect, you can get almost anywhere by either a twenty minute walk or train ride. The hotel is stunning… rooms are quiet, comfortable, spacious. But the stand alone amenity here is the service provided from the team members. We are frequent visitors to NYC and will time and time return to our favorite hotel because of the care and attention that goes in to the service. You will not regret your stay here. Thank you to Sandip, Ten, Amos, Johnny, Fernando, John and the rest of the team for providing exceptional service to us each and every time.
We stayed two nights at the Times Square EDITION while in town to enjoy three Broadway shows, and the experience was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the team took exceptional care of us, assisting with luggage, warmly welcoming us to the property, and making us feel genuinely appreciated. We were especially touched by the thoughtful Broadway chocolates and handwritten notes waiting for us in our room. Those personal details truly set this hotel apart. A special shout-out to Joel at the Terrace Restaurant for his personal, attentive, and hospitable service, and to Fernando on the welcome team for his fabulous energy and friendly approach. Every interaction felt sincere and gracious. The only minor downside is that the rooms are beginning to show some wear and tear. That said, the service, warmth, and overall experience more than made up for it. An excellent stay and a perfect home base for a Broadway getaway. We would absolutely return.
