Great location

The hotel is in a great location, close to Times Square. We had a double room so the size wasn’t bad. Got a glimpse of a single and a closet is bigger! The window unit air conditioner is so loud you can’t hear anything but the room was too hot without it. When I turned off the air conditioner all you could hear was a constant drip from the unit above. Housekeeping does a minimal job at best. We requested our room to be done before noon since we went out early every morning. Not once was it done as requested.

reasonable for a city hotel

The hotel lobby looks smart but the rooms are very small, and the air conditioning unit in my room was ancient and extremely noisy (but did drown out the city noise). Otherwise everything was fine and it is reasonably good value for New York. Free hot drinks are available although there aren't coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Great Hotel, but very small rooms

The Hotel and the service was great! The only thing that was bad, was the rooms. A single room for two persons (father and son) in a 1,40 m bed. Thats not enough. But the Service their was amazing all over the barkeepers and the housekeeping 👍 thank you very much!

Great Stay at Amsterdam Court Hotel!

We just returned from our stay in NYC at the Amsterdam Court Hotel. We booked this rather last-minute (2 weeks before our arrival), as our original accomodation became unavailable at short notice (friend's apt. building has bedbugs!). The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish - recommending the parking garage next door for us to park our rental car for the first night (we returned it in the am), and a place to get breakfast on our first morning - right around the corner, good restaurant and we got a discount when we showed out hotel key card; then helping us out with tips for getting around, giving us a map, and then, on our last day, holding our luggage and orderring a taxi to the airport for us. Reception staff Joseph and Mikey were especially friendly and helpful to us. The Lobby looks nice, the room also had a nice look to it and was clean. Yes, the room we had was on the small side - but certainly large enough for me and my tween daughter. No mini-bar or room service - but you don't need that with Times Square on your doorstep! There was a bar and restaurant off the lobby that you could have drinks or a meal in. I took beer up to my room in the evening. Once, we had a pizza delivered to the hotel. So we were quite content with the room. Everything worked properly, air conditioning, tv, wifi, no problems. The bed was comfy, there was an alarm clock and a mini fridge in the room. We slept well! You could hardly hear any of the traffic outside, just the occasional distant siren (our room was facing the back/side of the building). No noise from other guests, either. What was also nice that you could take some stairs down off the lobby and get snacks, coffee and fresh water to fill your water bottle. We did not buy a single plastic bottle of water during our stay! We brought our own Tupperware bottle from home and just filled it up. The location of the hotel was perfect - close to Times Square, an 8-block walk to Central Park, Top of the Rock/Rockafeller Center was just up the street, as was Radio City Music Hall. Also not far from the new Hudson Yards and many other things you'll want to see while in NYC. Taxis were always in abundance here and there were a couple of subway stops very close by. Extremely convenient lovation! Everything worked out perfectly for our New York visit during our stay at the Amsterdam Court Hotel. All in all we were extremely happy with our stay at this hotel - we will definitely stay here next time we're in NYC!

Comfy place, friendly staff in theatre district

I stayed at the Amsterdam Court Hotel for a one-night stay recently (wish it could have been longer). The front desk staff members and bellman were very helpful and friendly. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet--despite being located in the heart of Manhattan. Strongly recommend this place.
