This Times Square property offers spacious, attractive rooms and excellent location but receives divided feedback on cleanliness and value due to outdated facilities and inconsistent housekeeping. Guests should anticipate noisy facilities and possibly being downgraded due to technical issues.

Great size rooms in this hotel, Aircon / Heating very loud but only needed the heating on for a short time, maybe after using the shower. Shower pressure very poor. Breakfast ok handy grab and go. Staff very good. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

I was extremely dissappointed and very concerned about the cleaning of these rooms. Upon entering I was taking back on how old this hotel really was. Their elevators may be up to code but it had horrible hesitation while going up, not a smooth ride up at all. Carpets are extremely dirty and old. Room 519 was old, funny odor, closet doors were missing, plugs had some mold, wall tape was coming off and most importantly to note the shower had mold all over Their bathroom set up is very very outdated. After a long late flight, a good hot shower would of been good, but the shower was unacceptable. Front desk told me to talk to "next door manager" for a discount. I was moved to room 523, which was far out worse, the ac unit made a lot of noise. After I was told they were sold out, and being a late check in i had no choice to return to room 519 brush my teeth and go back to the aiport 9 hours later. I was distressed with their call of action, and their filthy bathrooms. It is not worth staying here no matter how close to TimeSquare is from their location.

We have had a very nice experience at this hotel! Yes, the rooms are older but very nice and roomy with big windows. The bathroom is huge! They have nice robes to use if you need one! The beds and pillows were very comfortable- we slept so well- this is usually not the case for me at other hotels! The location is perfect being so close to Times Square and the street in front is not crazy which is so nice when tou are trying to wait for a Lyft ride. There is a big window in the lobby you can watch for your ride if the weather is bad. The housekeeping and front desk ladies were very friendly.

Located within a short walk to theater district and times square. Rooms are not as clean as pictured. Connected to Millennium hotel. Advertised a boutique. It is more like they renovated the old building next door 15 yrs ago. Hotel photos are old. Rooms are not as clean as they can be (dust, spills, soap scum, broken fixtures). No outlets at bedside for charging phones or using CPAP machines.

I don't know how this hotel has 4 stars. Disappointed. I booked a room with a view of the Ball Drop for 2 nights on New Year's Eve with payment upon arrival. But the day before my reservation started, they told me that the credit card is not accepted and cannot be paid. They thought they would cancel my reservation and give my room to another customer for more money, not knowing that I was already in town. I left whatever work I had at the time and went to the reception to see what the problem was. They were surprised. They said that I don't have a room with a view of the Ball Drop and that I should pay a difference to get one, and that they don't want me to pay now but if it is not accepted at midnight I will lose the reservation, in the end with lot of argues, I paid on the spot to be sure that I would get the room. The next day, when I arrived, I was shocked by the conditions in the room. I expected it to look like a 4-star hotel for which I paid almost $2500 for 2 nights, but it didn't. Lots of dust on the lamps, worn out furniture, dirty curtains, terrible shower. The only good thing was the location of this hotel and the room that had a view of the Ball Drop. But I would not recommend this experience, unless you have no other option.

While location is definitely great, the rooms were not. When I checked in, room looked ok until I looked closer on the bed and found that NONE of the 4 pillows even had a pillowcase for it. And later that night when I took a shower, The water did not drain quick. I called front desk and no one was there so I ended up calling the Broadway millennium next door who was connected to them. Lady said they will contact someone and made sure it was the premier hotel, but no one ever showed up. Next day we went out and about and I usually dont need housekeeping coming in so I always put the sign on the door do not disturb. I came back later in the day with that sign back in my room and housekeeping had came in. I went back out a little while later and told the lady at the front desk again about the tub and she put in a note on the computer. Yet no one still came and fixed the bathtub. At that point in the night when I came back it was 2 am and no point since it was my last night. Showered once again in standing water on my last night there. I paid way too much for a hotel stay like this. Probably won't ever stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Toilets don’t flush well. Staff are rude. Rooms not cleaned sufficiently - we found children’s ’snap bands’ and tissue in the room during our stay which were definitely there from before we checked in. They turn the Wi-Fi off on the morning of your last day so you cannot use it any longer even though check out may not be for several hours more. The location can’t be faulted - dead centre of Time Square. It is noisy during all hours albeit that is probably to be expected given the location. However, we checked out on NYE and due to a ‘state protocol’, we were unable to leave our luggage in the store room. However, we were offered the possibility of a late checkout and could leave our bags in the room while we went out. What’s the difference from a security point of view? It’s just a con to extract more money from paying guests. I explained my wife was pregnant and I had checked this upon check in so that I could arrange a taxi for the correct time. Instead they have made my pregnant wife sit in a lobby without food and drink (we had planned to get lunch during this time) for 2.5 hours whilst we wait for our pre-paid for taxi. They’ve said it was out of their hands and nothing they could do. If they genuinely cared, they would have extended the check out time even by an hour so she was able to eat and drink and not sat in a lobby for such a long period of time. They apologised for giving us the incorrect information and for the inconvenience but done absolutely nothing to try and rectify the situation or assist my wife. The only person who tried to help was the guy who took the luggage but he was unable to help without management authorisation.

Be sure to read reviews on this hotel, specifically about rooms not being available at the time of check-in and the disconnect in customer service. It is likely your room will not be available at the 4pm check-in time and you will be asked to come back. We arrived before 2pm to see if we could possibly check-in early, but more so to leave our luggage so we could explore the city and come back when our room was available. Long story short, the room wasn't available until after 9pm and the story was they were having some "technical difficulties". This seems to be a trend among other reviews. They also proceeded to put us in a lower tier room without letting us know at check-in. When questioning the desk staff the next morning, they proceeded to try and convince us that the executive room we booked was not any better than the others although their website charges more for higher tier rooms and boast claims like "better views of Times Square" which you pay a higher rate for. We had to speak with the manager, Sunil, who continued the same dialogue and eventually offered to not charge the nightly resort fee as compensation. Well, based on other reviews, it appears this is also very common practice for them to offer when the rooms aren't available when they should be. So technically, they didn't offer anything extra to us for 1) not being able to check in until 5 hours later than promised and 2) not being honest/transparent at time of check-in and putting us in a lower tier room for two nights before finally moving us to the room we payed for for the remaining two nights (this was only after numerous conversations with the desk staff and management so they certainly didn't make it easy). I will say the room we paid for was definitely better than their lower tier room as far as having a direct view of Times Square versus the back alleyways of apartment buildings so it was clear they were telling us whatever they could to benefit them and not have to move us. It was very unfortunate and if we were to do it again, I would have chosen a different place to stay. The dishonesty and attempt to "smooth things over" with ignorance by the staff was very frustrating and unappealing.

location is great and also the staff is. Kind people. The facilities are really dated as if there has been no update in at least 10 years. TV was not working really good. Breakfast was terrible but the staff who was providing was kind and helpfull. Futhermore you have to pay for services you don't need (spa, gym etc). Looks like the hotel wants to maximize cash-in on location by not investing in rooms and serving a mediocre breakfast (you have to collect your breakfast in a bag and eat elsewhere and you have to choose out of very limited items). Best part of the hotel is the staff. They carry this hotel and are great.

We recently stayed at a hotel in Times Square and overall had a great experience. The biggest highlight was definitely the location — you simply can’t beat being right in the heart of everything. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent, which made our stay feel comfortable and well-looked-after. The only real downside was the breakfast. It was offered strictly as a take-away option with no dedicated seating area, which felt unusual and a bit uncomfortable for us. The quality and variety were also below what we expected for the price and overall standard of the hotel. That said, if you value convenience, helpful staff, and spotless rooms, this hotel still delivers a strong stay — just be prepared that breakfast is not a traditional sit-down experience.
