It's a very, very bad experience. The room is awful; you can clearly hear the noises in the hallway and the other rooms, especially when other people close and open their doors. You can never get a good night's sleep. The room is also very small. Furthermore, the breakfast service is ridiculous. If you have two guests, they cannot have breakfast separately because the hotel only provides one voucher. When the first guest has breakfast, they collect the voucher back, so the second guest cannot have breakfast, and they refuse to accommodate that. The front desk is also ridiculous and rude. They cannot even accommodate simple requests.

Spent our first night in New York at another hotel, which was NOT as advertised. We were able to check in before 10am, enjoyed amazing customer service, and a very comfortable room. All of this directly across from the theater we will be attending this afternoon! Definitely will return.

I did not have a great experience at this hotel. I Stayed here for eight nights In one of the accessible rooms. Every time I would take a shower, the fire alarm would go off because they had a weird type of fire alarm And placed it right next to the shower. The temperature in the room would either be extremely hot or extremely cold with no in between. The windows Sweat quite a bit and got my books wet. I had given the time New York a deposit when I came In and they chose to not reimburse me because my Deposit apparently was used to pay facility fees. They also tried to charge me for snacks that I did not eat in the room And I had to speak with them over the phone about it. There are better hotels in New York that Do not play so many games. Also This place was quite loud at night When trying to sleep.

We loved our stay at the time! Perfect location for our mother daughter NYC adventure. Easy walking access to broadway shows, shopping at Rockefeller, and Times Square. 2 stops on the subway to go to Lincoln center. Such a perfect home base for our days walking around. Rooms were clean and well-kept.

I LOVE this hotel. The genuine hospitality and comfortable beds are honestly all I need. I love that although you're in a really busy location, it's not super loud. It's a cute tucked away boutique-y spot. It's sleek, simple and the food is fantastic. This is my go to here on out for both location and comfort. And they're SOO kind here.

This is not a nice hotel. Our room was not ready for check in until two hours after the check in time. The rooms themselves were not comfortable. When we finally got into our room it was 80 degrees and the thermostat did not do anything. The maintenance person came and told us that it's just how new York radiator systems work. If we wanted to cool the room, we could just open the window. The sink in the room was cracked, the headboard was worn, the electrical box in the bathroom was exposed because the plate was 1/4 inch from the hole in the wall. The location was good if you want to be near times square, but the hotel itself needs a lot of help. We were not the only people having trouble, the hotel manager was dealing with unhappy guests every time we were in the lobby. I would not stay here again.

Eric, the concierge at The Time New York - JDV by Hyatt, is truly exceptional. I just got off the phone with him while calling to see if there was any way to make my friend's room extra special for her 40th birthday celebration, and he completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we spoke, Eric was incredibly friendly, warm, and genuinely excited to help. He went above and beyond with thoughtful suggestions and made the entire process feel effortless and fun. I honestly had such a great time talking with him that it made me even more excited for our upcoming trip, which says a lot, because I was already looking forward to it! Eric’s enthusiasm, professionalism, and personal touch turned a simple phone call into a memorable experience. If this is the level of service we can expect at The Time New York, then we are in for an amazing stay. Thank you, Eric, for making our celebration feel special before we’ve even arrived!

Amazing location and the staff were all so lovely but we had multiple issues during our stay. We book our room for 4, but when we arrived, the second bed (pull out) was not made up and there were no extra towels and sheets. The pull out “mattress” was also terrible (probably fine for little kids). Across our 3 day stay we found a used vape, dirty underwear, and dirty socks throughout our room. They turn these rooms so quickly which we appreciated as we arrived very early, but this had us questioning the cleanliness. Lastly, we were told about a car service to airport. We looked at prices of an SUV uber at peak hour ($200) so decided to go with the offered “luxury car service” for $150. Keeping the 4 of us comfortable with all of our luggage. When a beat up Toyota minivan that was no different to an UberX arrived we were not happy. Overall it was a fine stay for a busy New York weekend but 4 star hotel pricing had us disappointed.

My sister and I stayed here this past weekend. We were immediately greeted with men holding the door open for us. Reception had the most pleasant man, Josh, greeting us. He was very helpful with all we needed to do and he carried our bags to our room. He greeted us every time he saw us and asked how the trip was going. Me being me, I had to get a pic with him before we left. (Attached) Our room was very clean and organized. There were a few things that could have been fixed like the shower door didn't completely close, but nothing major to where it affected our stay. Location is great as it is close to times square.

I overly research when booking hotels, and it was difficult to choose between this hotel and a few others. We chose The Time because we could book a suite (traveling with 2 kids), the decor matched our style, and the location worked well for us. Will start out with the pros: The staff was very responsive and helpful. The concierge, Eric, brought us champagne and snacks for the kids, which was a nice surprise. The housekeeping was good as well, replacing towels and making the beds. The hotel overall was very stylish and we loved the feel of it. The cons: There was mold in the shower, all around the drains and in the grout. I am usually not too particular when it comes to dust and some wear, but this grossed us out. Something simple to clean but overlooked. The room overall was worn, but if thoroughly cleaned and beds replaced (peeling leather on headboards), it would be amazing. Nowhere to hang towels in bathroom. No coffee maker, and no room service to order coffee- major downside to me. I didn’t realize this prior. From reviews we read, we thought there was a continental breakfast, but apparently that is no longer. The resort fee doesn’t offer any type of credit towards dining or (nonexistent) room service. Overall, we would stay again if the rooms were thoroughly cleaned/updated and some type of coffee/breakfast offered. We did appreciate the staff/service.
