Love this place

I just have to shout out Yaritza at the front desk, David Hamilton as the guest services manager and Paulina as the front office manager. Their kindness, friendliness and professionalism made our stay outstanding—again! The room was awesome...spotlessly clean, so well appointed with an amazing view. The staff—on every level of service—from the gentleman who greeted us at the front door to the bell hop and everyone in between, treated us as if they had been waiting for us all day! So sweet... We will be back, again and again. 5 Stars and thumbs up!

Very Quiet Boutique Hotel

I chose The Time for its proximity to the Theatre District and for its reviews. Check in was interesting as the clerk seemed frazzled and nervous when there were about 3 groups there at once. One of us was offered help with bags (not us) which seemed odd. Our room was nice, although very small with a view of a brick wall and a cruise ship sized bathroom. But on the plus side, it was super quiet and the bed was very comfortable. One note, while we were told at reception that the mirror was also the tv, we had a regular tv on the wall. Biggest gripe was that the minibar fridge did not cool down the drinks and it was never restocked during our stay. The shower took quite a while to warm up. We did want to try the coffee bar one minute it wasn’t open yet (after 7 am) and while I was looking forward to getting advice from the clefs d’ors concierge, I don’t believe we ever saw them. Overall, our stay was like having a nice quiet apartment for 4 days with maid service.

Great little hotel in a perfect location.

This was my 2nd stay at The Time Hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed both of my visits. It's a cozy hotel in the heart of Times Square, but since it's on a side street (49th) it's surprisingly quiet. Front desk crew was courteous and professional. Rooms are NYC small but well laid out. Shower and bathroom are modern and practical. Bed and linens were high end and comfy. Our housekeeper Tsultrim did a fantastic job going above and beyond each time she serviced our room. Breakfast is included in the restaurant downstairs and had a little something for every taste. Complimentary wine and cheese each afternoon is a lovely perk. Only down sides were elevator wait times during busy times and a constant loud ventilation hum in the bathroom that you couldn't turn off. Overall I highly recommend a stay at The Time.

Excellent customer recovery

I wrote a review months ago expressing my negative experience at The Time NY hotel regarding their wifi and water charges and also the poor housekeeping. Recently, the hotel manager Mr. David contacted me via Trip advisor to apologize and make amendments. Thus I rectify my review because I am really impressed in Mr.David's effort in making things right again for his hotel guests. Although it was not his fault and he didn't have to make things right but I really appreciate his attempt at customer recovery. I hope that if there is a next time, I would enjoy my stay in this hotel. I also hope that your front desk staff would take on Mr.David's excellent spirit. Thank you once again!

A rocky start, a good solution, a fantastic stay

We prepaid our stay online, but didn't have the credit card we booked it with on us. It took about 45 min to get it sorted out, but Alexis at the front desk was very helpful. When we got to our suite, we noticed a) it smelled heavily of smoke (the hotel is no-smoking), and B) it looked like a smaller suite than we had booked (a superior, instead of a deluxe). The manager on Duty (Jose Flores) was very helpful and moved us to a larger and "upgraded" suite. I had thought that we had booked a deluxe suite already, and didn't think there was an upgrade other than the WAAAAYY more expensive Penthouse. When we got to the new room, I checked my reservation, and noted that the "upgraded" suite was the one we had booked and paid for, and should have had in the first place. After getting settled, I went to the lobby and showed him my copy of the reservation. He apologized profusely for the error (the front desk originally assigning the smaller suite), offered to remove the "facilities fees" from our bill, and sent us up a complimentary bottle of wine. From then on, the stay was fantastic! All of the staff were very helpful and friendly, the suite was clean, modern, and spacious. We especially enjoyed talking to Senior Lobby Ambassador Dee (Doria) Lee. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and was a delight to talk to. The only downside was the lack of ice machines (you had to call housekeeping for ice), the lack of a microwave or coffee machine (we wanted to heat up water for tea), and the lack of a mini-fridge (other then the mini-bar, which you could empty to the side, then re-fill when you left). On the plus side, they were great about bringing ice, and the little coffee kiosk on the 1st floor was great about giving us hot free hot water for tea. All in all, it was a great hotel, with a wonderful staff. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit.
