The InterContinental New York Times Square offers a prime location in the heart of Times Square, providing easy access to Broadway, restaurants, and public transportation. While praised for its convenient location, comfortable rooms and friendly staff, some guests have noted issues with room cleanliness, noisy environments and inconsistent service quality. Overall, it's a solid choice for a convenient New York City experience.
Walking distance to so much! Hell's Kitchen, Times Square, the Subway. I think for the price of the stay there should be a pool/hot tub somewhere on property. However, aside from that, it was a wonderful stay. The breakfast buffet was really good. I did not like the lotion though. I put it on after a shower and I was embarrassingly ashy walking around the city. So, a reminder to those of us who like moisturized skin, use your own lotion.
Great location and friendly staff. Overall, I had a nice stay, but for the price, I expected more from the room. The furniture felt a bit dated, and there was no full-length mirror. Good hotel, but the rooms could use some updates.
One of our best stays ever! I stayed here with my husband and 2 toddlers. The room was spacious enough to fit a pack and play and plenty of space for the kiddos to run around. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly all around. But the 5 star player goes to Amina Gumah!! I left the hotel to do a bag of laundry at a local laundry mat. My bag ripped near the employee entrance and Amina was on her way out - but she graciously stopped and helped me collect my items and ran inside to get me more bags and a more study bag. I cannot thank her enough for going above and beyond! Thank you so much hotel staff, you made our family vacation memorable!
Great location steps away from Time Square. The check in process was very efficient and fast by Jae. We arrived very early before check in time so we luggage checked and went out. We got a text very early that our room was ready. They upgraded us to a higher floor with an amazing view! Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Minor complaints, 1 of the 2 shower heads didn’t work but we never called to complain because 1 was working. The bell service were definitely understaffed and/or overworked, there was a wait everything we needed luggage service. But the staff were so nice and friendly. We definitely will be coming back here!
We enjoyed a delightful stay here recently. Danny, at the front desk, was able to give us a room upgrade because of our membership in the hotel's loyalty program, and we ended up in a bright room with interesting views. Everywhere we turned in the hotel, we encountered kind and friendly staff, including in the attached restaurant where we had a tasty dinner. The room service breakfast we ordered the night before checkout arrived hot and delicious, exactly at the requested time. We'd be pleased to return here.
We had a wonderful stay here. Check-in was quick and they had a room ready for us early which was great! The view from our room was amazing! The housekeeper was friendly. The doorman was welcoming when we would arrive and when we left they asked if we needed a taxi or anything. So nice! We ordered room service and the gentleman who brought the food was also very nice. Overall, we had an amazing stay and enjoyed the convenient location of the hotel as well!
Vibrant - Really very beautiful in a special place. The international clientele come and go in this beautiful hotel tucked away around the corner from amazing hustle and bustle of Times Square near all the Broadway theaters. Location, location, location! LOVE this place! Lots of affordable & local restaurants nearby. You're right at the 42-St Port Authority bus terminal/subway/uber airport shuttle. Staff is so friendly and professional. (See JC, the most awesome Concierge!) Fantastic, quiet rooms & excellent staff. No microwaves here. One drawback is that people tend to gather & talk in the Business area which is therefore very noisy. It is also poorly lit, so difficult to get much work done here.
Great location if you want to be in the center of all time square chaos! Rooms are clean service is amazing and they serve breakfast downstairs with loads of options. Only complaint is that it’s very noisy at night but I knew that was going to be an issue due to the location. Overall nice hotel , the pictures looked very different than in person . It’s alot smaller in person
The hotel’s location was excellent — walking distance to Times Square and very close to the subway. It’s a busy area, but my room on a high floor was peaceful. The room was spacious, clean, and the highlight was definitely the view. I woke up one night with the curtains slightly open, and the city lights were just stunning. I didn’t want to get up from the window couch — it was one of those rare moments you remember. The bathroom was also exceptional — spacious, well-designed, and probably one of the best I’ve had in a hotel.
We stayed at the InterContinental New York Times Square the weekend of January 23rd and had an absolutely amazing experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a higher floor, which made our stay even more special. The buffet breakfast was a 10/10 — delicious with great variety. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, close to everything and easy to get around. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Guaranteed to impress!
