This hotel is a prime location choice for Manhattan sightseeing and Broadway shows, offering spacious rooms with beautiful views and generally high-quality service, though noise levels can be significant. Housekeeping consistency varies, and unexpected additional fees are common.
We had a wonderful stay here. Check-in was quick and they had a room ready for us early which was great! The view from our room was amazing! The housekeeper was friendly. The doorman was welcoming when we would arrive and when we left they asked if we needed a taxi or anything. So nice! We ordered room service and the gentleman who brought the food was also very nice. Overall, we had an amazing stay and enjoyed the convenient location of the hotel as well!
Vibrant - Really very beautiful in a special place. The international clientele come and go in this beautiful hotel tucked away around the corner from amazing hustle and bustle of Times Square near all the Broadway theaters. Location, location, location! LOVE this place! Lots of affordable & local restaurants nearby. You're right at the 42-St Port Authority bus terminal/subway/uber airport shuttle. Staff is so friendly and professional. (See JC, the most awesome Concierge!) Fantastic, quiet rooms & excellent staff. No microwaves here. One drawback is that people tend to gather & talk in the Business area which is therefore very noisy. It is also poorly lit, so difficult to get much work done here.
Great location if you want to be in the center of all time square chaos! Rooms are clean service is amazing and they serve breakfast downstairs with loads of options. Only complaint is that it’s very noisy at night but I knew that was going to be an issue due to the location. Overall nice hotel , the pictures looked very different than in person . It’s alot smaller in person
The hotel’s location was excellent — walking distance to Times Square and very close to the subway. It’s a busy area, but my room on a high floor was peaceful. The room was spacious, clean, and the highlight was definitely the view. I woke up one night with the curtains slightly open, and the city lights were just stunning. I didn’t want to get up from the window couch — it was one of those rare moments you remember. The bathroom was also exceptional — spacious, well-designed, and probably one of the best I’ve had in a hotel.
We stayed at the InterContinental New York Times Square the weekend of January 23rd and had an absolutely amazing experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a higher floor, which made our stay even more special. The buffet breakfast was a 10/10 — delicious with great variety. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, close to everything and easy to get around. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Guaranteed to impress!
Robyn B. at the InterContinental Times Square provided a level of service that genuinely stands apart from anything I’ve experienced in over a decade of near-weekly travel. I travel extensively for both work and personal reasons and hold top-tier elite status across multiple major hotel brands, including Marriott, Hyatt, and IHG. I’ve seen great service, upgraded service, and “by-the-book” luxury service — but what Robyn delivers is different. It’s personal, proactive, and ownership-driven in a way that is incredibly rare. When I called because our room hadn’t been cleaned, she didn’t just solve the immediate issue by sending towels. She took full ownership and arranged a same-day cleaning so the room would be completely reset and comfortable. That follow-through matters, and it’s the kind of detail that separates good from exceptional. She also helped navigate room service with real care, taking my sensitive stomach into account and suggesting smart substitutions so I could still enjoy my meals. Most memorable is how she shows up for guests. Her warmth and positivity are unmistakable — you can hear the smile in her voice on the phone. Every interaction felt supportive, gracious, and genuinely guest-first. We were on a personal trip to NYC (celebrating my birthday) during the January ‘26 ‘snowpocalypse’. We had to change our checkin/checkout dates multiple times with flight delays and cancellations, and with all of the logistics frustrations, the trip could’ve turned sour - but Robyn’s care and support ensured that the Intercontinental felt both like home and a luxury getaway at the same time - we were actually sad to finally leave. In thousands of hotel nights across brands and countries, I can honestly say this level of care is singular. Robyn made our New York stay spectacular, and she is a major reason I would choose to return to this property. Hospitality like this is rare, and it deserves recognition.
What a great stay! Started off with a warm and very friendly welcome from Ahmed at the front desk and was pleasant the whole stay. Staff was excellent and helpful. We had an issue with the AC and it was fixed promptly as well. Rooms were CLEAN. Recently have had too many *premium* stays where we could tell the bathrooms were cleaned just to check off a list but not *reaaallyy*. But the bathroom was spotless on arrival here. Not a single dust bunny or stray hair to be seen. Location is awesome. We were worried about noise but have no complaints! Will stay here again!
I'm not going to gatekeep on the Intercontinental Times Square hotel. Of course it's in a great location, the corner room was incredible and the bath products were amazing. The hotel was impeccable. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and this hotel didn't have a single trash can out of place and housekeeping kept us in towel heaven during our entire Christmas stay. It's was a beatitiful time of year to visit the city but the hotel took it up a notch with its beautiful decorations. It really felt like a magical wonderland. ?? But, what made our stay so fabulous was actually none of those great hotel characteristics. It was the entire staff. From Santi, the charismatic and friendly doorman, who was do gracious from the moment we arrived, and even knew our driver, to Carolyn, at guest services . I cant say enough about the hospitality and friendliness of this staff. It happened to rain and snow a bit, so our housekeeper gave us umbrellas to use during our stay. We were overwhelmed with the attention to detail at this hotel. John the manager has really retained the best staff and made our trip feel like home away from home. I travel a bit but I've never experienced this level of service from a hotel. This staff actually like their jobs and it shows. It's interesting that many have been with the hotel for long periods of time. Anyway, it's now my 'go to place to stay' while in NYC.
had a fantastic stay at the InterContinental New York. The welcome at reception was warm and professional, and I was checked in about three hours early without any fuss. They also kindly allowed a late checkout, which made my stay even more comfortable. I stayed in a Superior king room — it was spotless, beautifully kept, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Overall, a smooth, stress-free, and genuinely enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.
Cheryl and staff were the best. Our quick new york trip on a busy new years weekend was great after spending it in this hotel. Everything was clean. Bathroom essentials, towels and slippers stocked! Great drinks at the restaurant too. Made our trip easy and smooth.
