Romer Hell's Kitchen is celebrated for its stylish, vintage aesthetic and exceptional service, praised by guests as a welcoming home base in the center of Manhattan. Located within a 5-to-10 minute walk of Times Square and Central Park, it offers spacious rooms and lively entertainment at its piano bar, despite some reports of street noise. Guests feel it offers great value for money in an excellent location, provided they are aware of potential additional fees.
Guest service was royal. Joan went above and beyond for our birthday celebration in NYC for my daughter. We are so grateful for her hospitality. The location is excellent, especially for theatre district goers. Room is cozy and perfect for rest in the bustling city. Can't wait to check out the piano bar with live music to finish our night! This is the place to stay in NYC
Perfect hotel, no issues at all! Had a deluxe corner king room and it was the perfect size, friendly and helpful staff, especially helping us with our bags and taxi on the last day! The cleaners were friendly and did a great job too. The location is perfect, a short walk from Central Park and Times Square, a subway station across the road and plenty of places to eat nearby too!
If you love a tasteful, old-school atmosphere, this place is a dream. Think rich dark tones, moody lighting, and that classic, handsome “another era” feel, like a stylish film set, but comfortable. One detail I kept noticing (in a great way) was the scent: a dark, musky soap fragrance that felt clean and elevated, like a high-end barbershop or classic boutique. Staff were friendly and the "So-and-So" speakeasy downstairs had live music playing to a full room of patrons enjoying drinks and dinner. The whole experience felt curated and timeless. Fantastic hotel. I have a new fave hotel in NYC right in the middle of everything: Times Square, theaters, Central Park, and all the subway lines. Awesome location in Hell's Kitchen!
We had a really good stay at Romers Hell’s Kitchen. The location is hard to beat. Right in Hell’s Kitchen, close to Times Square, restaurants, and easy subway access, but still far enough from the chaos to feel comfortable with kids. The room size worked surprisingly well for our family of four. Two adults and two kids fit comfortably without feeling cramped, which isn’t always easy to find in Manhattan. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Check-in was smooth, and everyone we interacted with was helpful. Overall, a great choice for families visiting NYC. Would definitely stay here again.
I had a great stay at Romer Hell’s Kitchen. The staff was excellent—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely professional throughout my visit. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. I also really appreciated the lobby décor, which felt stylish, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. The hotel fully met my expectations, and I would be very happy to stay here again on a future visit.
Very nice spot for an NYC visit. super close to the subway, central park, Moma and times square. REALLY good pizza near by “$1.50 pizza”. the rooms are spacious but no tea or coffee available and tea kettle only available on request. There is a water dispenser near by but when we used it it was super mirky so stick with water bottles. Oh, another plus is the seven 11 right there so makes any last minute purchases easy. The staff was nice and very responsive. the place was clean and cozy. I would honestly stay again because the location was so great. and the view was really pretty too.
Family of 4 including 2 kids stayed for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious with two queen size beds( hard to fine. Usually hotels in the area offer two double beds). Location is prime. 5 min walk to time square, broadway etc. 10 min to Central Park. Just note it’s on a busy street and it’s NYC so expect the “sounds” of the city throughout the night. Still amazed how the long ladder fire trucks navigate through the streets and traffic!!
Booked through a travel site, and saw that the hotel had great reviews and a really good rate, considering we were going for the holidays. We were not disappointed. Plenty of room for our family of 4, with luggage. Just minutes from many theaters, and just a few blocks from Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Couldn't ask for a better location, especially for the cost. Comfy beds, helpful staff. The only thing we didn't experience at the hotel was food options other than coffee, but the coffee/lattes were delicious. Would definitely book here again.
I would rate this hotel five stars, but I believed the rooms needed some updating and the mattresses could be more supportive. However, the staff is exceptional. They provide a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment you arrive. I also felt very secure, as access to the upper floors requires a key, which is a significant advantage. All the staff members are extremely nice. I wish I could give them five stars based solely on their exceptional service and atmosphere. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it; it's conveniently located near everything, and I felt very welcome.
Loved my stay at Romer Hell’s Kitchen during my visit to NYC in July! The room was surprisingly spacious, and the bed was exactly what I needed after a full day of walking around New York — so comfortable to sink into. The hotel’s décor is super stylish and gives the place a really cool vibe. Location-wise, it’s perfect: close to the subways and an easy walk to Times Square. I also felt safe with the key-card check at the entrance, and the staff were warm and friendly throughout my stay. If you’re visiting NYC, this is a hotel I’d recommend in a heartbeat!
