Located in the heart of Times Square, this hotel offers unbeatable convenience and comfortable beds, but guests frequently report significant frustration with long wait times for service, outdated and shabby room interiors, excessive fees for amenities, and logistical inefficiencies regarding elevators and check-in processes.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, which makes it very convenient for getting around. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The hotel itself feels very outdated, and almost every service involved a long wait. There was a long line to check in, a long line to check out, and another long line just to store luggage. On top of that, luggage storage costs $6 per bag, which felt excessive given the inconvenience. The hotel also charges a $35 daily fee that supposedly gives you a $35 credit to use at the Starbucks or hotel bar. However, you actually have to stand in line and have the credit manually applied to your room, which made the process frustrating and time-consuming. I was also looking forward to relaxing and watching TV after a long day, but while the television offered Netflix and Amazon Prime options, neither of them worked. The front desk sent an engineer, but unfortunately he said he wasn’t able to fix the issue. The room was also very noisy, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the hotel was unable to accommodate a late checkout request, which would have been helpful given the long lines and overall inconvenience. Overall, while the location is great, the long waits, extra fees, outdated amenities, and noise made the stay disappointing.

A run-down hotel in the center of NYC. It needs renovation, with disgusting wallpaper, carpeting, wardrobes, and shabby, dingy furniture. The bathroom faucet cannot be adjusted: you either get a gentle stream of ice-cold or boiling water, or a very strong stream of water suitable for washing. It is impossible to take a shower without getting your hair wet. The shower head is broken and located under the ceiling. It was definitely designed by a tall man, without any thought for women's needs. The rooms are uncomfortable, there is not a single chair, nowhere to sit down to rest and lean back or put on your shoes. The beds are a plus because they have comfortable mattresses, but you can't sit on the bed because it's very high. The pillows are very high and uncomfortable to sleep on. The Wi-Fi could be a little faster. Very noisy at night, crowds of people shouting all night in the hallway. It's impossible to sleep. A large gap under the door lets light and noise into the room. Very long wait for the elevator. I had the impression that someone had been rummaging through my things. When I returned to my room, my backpack with my laptop had been thrown from the desk onto the floor. Very unpleasant atmosphere, nowhere to sit in the evening, you can't order tea at the bar. On the plus side, breakfast was good, with delicious fruit, but the cold cuts were inedible, though there was something else to choose from. The restaurant was quite dark, and it was difficult to communicate with the waiter, who seemed nice but judgmental. I don't feel comfortable in this place.

Location of this Hotel is very good. But that’s it. The room looked very old. Nothing modern about the room, amenities. They don’t even provide Shampoo, Conditioner. I recently stayed at Sheraton Dallas and it was an amazing hotel in Dallas. My colleague also stayed at Sheraton NewYork. In her room, the heater was not working. When she complained about it, she was given an extra blanket to compensate, but was not offered another room. This is absolutely a very bad customer service. Looks like they don’t really care about their guests. They provided coupons for water bottles. One coupon per day and that will give you 2 water bottles. Who does that these days? There are better options nearby at similar price or even a bit cheaper.

We stayed at this hotel 20 years ago on our first visit to New York , it felt stylish , high end and luxurious then. When we booked to return a few weeks ago with our children we were excited to go back to the same hotel! However things have changed and it was not a repeat of our first amazing experience. Location wise it’s fab! But they let themselves down in every other way. Pur room was really small and the contained x2 smallish double beds - not thenusyal standard for a US twin room for 4 people, everything tired and dated! The bathroom seemed clean but very out of date with tiles cracking , paintwork planing off and white gloss work a yellow beige colour. The worst part was the lifts! First few days they seemed ok, hotel was quiet. But for 4 days solid the lifts a nightmare. We waited for over an hour on one morning. For those who don’t know the out seem computerised- you have to type into a screen which floor you want to go to and it tells u which lift to get into. You can’t go into another one as it just doesn’t stop at the floor you want! One morning it kept sending us to the same lift BUt it was full the whole time , 1 hour 5 mins later and we finally had an empty lift! Not good if you can a plane to catch or has booked somewhere to be. The same occurred on our return most nights. Our room keys never worked , everyone we returned to our room after the long day they didn’t work, which also meant we had the long wait for the lifts again to go back to reception to fix it. Our passports were in the room safe which meant we couldn’t get our ID either! No apologies , no courtesy credit or anything given as way of sorry! On check out we found that we had been charged for someone else’s evening spend in the bar. We didn’t use the bar at all, only breakfast at the Starbucks so knew it wasn’t ours. As it was a small amount my husband couldn’t be bother to wait to rectify it and paid it. By then we’d already had a 59 min wait for the lift again! It’s a real shame as the location is great. But let down by everything else. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of hotels in New York with great locations at similar prices which are more up to date and with better facilities.

fFrst I would like to Thank Michell front desk amazing employee. she helped us with our 2md room move due to the first rooms being really below par. the noise from these rude disrespectful students running a muck banging on the walls running up and down the hall ways. unacceptable! no supervision what so ever. my room 2008 was horrible bathroom wall coming apart. bubble in the bedroom wall. sheets and sham were dirty, tub had black spots in it alond with the mold around the tub. no mini frig or microwave. our check in was at 4pm we arrived in the early mornings. could not check k in early.. gentleman that first helped us was not kind or professional never asked for our number to call when we could check in. checked twice until another lady I asked at 131 could we check in now? she said ues I have a ro available. this is where all the commotion from these kids came in and the room. being horrible gross. but thank goodness for Michelle being very apologetic and understanding our situationand our disappointment in the Sheridan with its many issues and unprofessional behavior and miss advertiment of what this hotel has to offer. Michelle moved ups to another room away from all that chaos and broken down rooms. she waved our fees for each night and gave us vouchers to eat at the restaurant. she understood is as guest who wanted a great experience and sleep. Sheridan do better and clean this us please be thankfull for Your employee Michelle. she mantained her professionalism and took care of your customers. your the best Michell. please do better Sheridan. Thank you, Diane Johnson.

Absolutely terrible I would not recommended! They make you pay for everything just for your bags is six dollars a bag of that service free! They also make you pay $150 destination fee to spend at the hotel $35 a night and if you don’t use it you lose it! they also started doing maintenance while we were here closing the main elevators because they were replacing the carpet and we had to used the services elevators where you can barely get an elevator than we had to take the 26th flights of stairs with luggage absolutely horrible! Would not recommend at all! It’s cheaper in the beginning but you pay in the end!!! I don’t know who’s running this location but it’s not worth the hassle pay the extra so somewhere else! Also it’s no refrigerators in the room of course you have to pay extra for that! No microwaves in the rooms it’s a Community microwave in the hallway that’s way by the elevators when they put you at the end of the hall! Good luck! Never again! I’ll pay the extra and take my business elsewhere some where that shows it’s appreciated!

The good is that this hotel is in a prime location of midtown. You are in proximity of times square, close to shopping stores and central park. The train station is right on the corner as well. The bad is that this is a very outdated hotel. There was always loooong lines are the front desk which is because of its popularity being in a prime location. The rooms are super outdated. The rug on the floors smell old like visiting grandma's house. There is "community" microwave - 1 microwave per floor right before elevators. During the time i was there, the elevator broke down many times and i was in the 22nd floor. Anything under 21 was a different sent of elevators so i would either have to take the lower level elevators and walk up to 2 flight of stairs or the other way around going down. After being up all night i had "engineering" knock on my door between the hours of 10:30am and 12pm to change either an outlet socket or change a vent. Then other days we had fire drills right around lunch time. It was just insane. I ordered packages on amazon and for each package i had to pay $4 just so the box could be given to me. They werent heavy either. One of them was a 3.5 ounce cream that was the max limit when flying and the other was a box of hair scrunchies. They also have an onsite starbucks that closes early. A gift shop. A breakfast spot and a bar called "The lobby". My room had a blood stain and when i went downstairs to have my room changed, they placed me in a smaller roo. That felt claustrophobic. I had bleach wipes with me and i said to just give me the dirty room back since i had bleach wipes i was going to clean it myself. Front desk personnel have that NY kind attitude. Where they seem to sound rude but that's just the way they are. The mailroom ladies were rude in general especially a young lady that worked there. All week i saw expos being held there and meetings. Housekeeper was nicest of all. Loved her!

I must say the hotel was very clean, but unfortunately, our overall experience was a major disappointment. On the day we arrived, the 2-bed room we had reserved was not available, forcing three of us to sleep in one bed. They promised to call us the next day to resolve it, but they never did. We had to go down to the front desk ourselves to finally get moved to a 2-bed room. Be aware that their 'double beds' are quite narrow, making it really difficult for two people to fit comfortably. To compensate for the first day's room mix-up, they gave us a 2-day breakfast voucher. However, the breakfast line was so incredibly long that we didn't even use it. If you're planning to pay for breakfast, skip the hotel and eat somewhere outside—it's much faster and you get to explore the area. Additionally, simply getting to our room was a hassle. The lines for the elevators were constantly long, not all the call buttons were working, and we happened to be there during a renovation period, which made the already slow process even worse. While I appreciate the cleanliness, given all these organizational issues and inconveniences, we definitely will not be staying here again.

Location is good and walkable distance for all events in time square. However service is horrible. We arrive at 1pm. We checked and said rooms were not ready and we would be notified. Never received notification so went back to counter at4pm and was told I never checked in. We saw multiple people checking in before that time and getting room keys. Then they charge you 6 dollars per bag to store until you do check in. We never got electronic keys had to carry card keys around while here. Then was offered a voucher from Marriott and tried to apply it at checkout. They told me had to send details to an email instead of applying it immediately. Also they will not allow Apple Pay. These hotel need to get up with the times where Apple Pay and electronic services are safer then customers carrying physical cards. The point that is the worst of this hotel, as those others are inconveniences, is the fact that you will have to wait for elevator to run to your floor. We had experienced on daily bases taking anywhere from 20-45 minutes to get an elevator to our room. All they tell you to do is keep trying as they are busy. I can say we will not be using this hotel again no matter how convenient it is to time square. On side note I gave room a two star as the barhroom was not clean upon arrival.

I’ve never left a review before, and I’m trying not to just leave a one star, but this hotel was massively disappointing and is truly only saved by its gym and location. The customer service is terrible, we were greeted with “there are no rooms available” even though it was 3:55 and we check in at 4. It made us wonder, “why aren’t there if we already booked a room? Why are they allowing unavailable rooms to be booked online?” We left our phone number to call for whenever a room was available. That call never came, we had to talk to someone at the counter again after over two hours and before anything was said, a different person working the counter greeted us with the same “all rooms are still unavailable “. Which was false, as they eventually got us through into a queen on the 12th floor after he spent a while on the computer. The room was good, and had a view facing Times Square, all of that is no issue. The location is convenient and almost everything is easy to access. We used the gym facility that same night and outside of a leaky ceiling, the equipment is above any other gym in a hotel I have been to. This property is much cheaper than everything else around for a reason. Stay here only if you intend to not be in your hotel for anything other than sleeping.
