This well-appointed Times Square hotel offers stunning baths and charming rooms but suffers from dated interiors and inconsistent room cleanliness. The superior location is offset by significant noise from the street and occasional maintenance issues.
I am really delighted with this hotel. I like the decor of the rooms and the cleanliness, but what I liked most was the location. By the way, the people who work there are also incredible.
Great hotel in a great location for a great price. Bed was comfy, TV worked, nice bathroom area. Front desk was super nice. Only issue was that one elevator was not working so we waited quite a while for the elevator. We were on the 11th floor so wasn't looking forward to talking the stairs. Not a big deal though! We'd come back!
We drove to the hotel, so we needed to offload our luggage. This was the first hotel we've visited in Times Square, where I had to offload my own luggage. The one luggage cart they had was available to do so. The doorman wasn't very helpful in that regard. They did a good job keeping the spaces in front open for guests to load and offload. The front desk staff was friendly and did what they could to make or stay a pleasant one by offering to upgrade our room to one that would accommodate a wheelchair. The room was not very spacious but nice enough. The bathroom, aside from the bed itself, was the best part of the room. The bathroom was a nice size with a huge shower. The room has a safe, not a mini fridge but a cooler, and an iron. Not too many places offer a microwave. There was a flat screen tv on the wall for our viewing pleasure. 45 Times Square isn't a bad spot to rest if you're going to be out and about all day and night. It's located a half block from Times Square, and there are several bars and restaurants on the same strip. I used an app to secure valet parking at a lot directly across the street. Once they park your vehicle, you're in until the end of your stay. That was new to me, but it's New York, I guess.
We loved this hotel! The staff were fabulous - kind and helpful at every turn. We loved our room. The location was a great base for exploring. It wasn't too loud (which was a little surprising because it is so close to the action) and the room had black out curtains. We would absolutely come back here. (We visited during a multi-state trip, and the parking garage across the street was very convenient).
This hotel is OK, but I've stayed in similarly priced hotels in this area that are better. The lobby isn't secure, neither are the elevators, the entire hotel needs to be renovated, and being charged a $20+ daily resort fee for no services was unexpected. The room had a mold/mildew odor and when the air was running, it caused coughing. The staff was polite. Good location for walking to Times Square and theaters, but wouldn't recommend overall.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. However, the cleanliness and room conditions did not meet our expectations. When we first entered the room, we noticed a lot of dust and hair on the bed and around the floor area. We immediately called the front desk, and they quickly sent a housekeeper to clean the room. Although she did her best, I still felt uncomfortable staying in that room, so we requested to switch and were moved to Room 701. Room 701 was better, but still not perfect. The biggest issue was the bathroom—it didn’t have a shower curtain or a door, so every time we took a shower, water spilled all over the floor. It made it very risky to walk in the bathroom afterward, and I was genuinely afraid of slipping and falling. On the second day, I called the front desk again to request towels and asked if the housekeeper could help clean up the water in the bathroom. While she brought the towels, she said she would return in five minutes to clean—but unfortunately, she never came back. The housekeeping service was disappointing overall. Also, the room didn’t look exactly like the photos online, which added to our dissatisfaction. While we appreciated the front desk team and their effort, the housekeeping standards and room setup need serious improvement.
I had a great stay at 45 Times Square Hotel in New York City. They allowed me to check in early since the room was already ready, which was very convenient. You can also leave your luggage at the front desk if needed. I really liked the interior design of the bathroom—very nice and modern—and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The room might feel a bit small if you have two or more large pieces of luggage, but it wasn’t a big issue for me. No problems with noise either; I slept very well throughout my stay. Overall, a comfortable and smooth experience! Super close to Times Square!!!
Loved staying here! I came on a trip with my daughter. We felt safe here and close in proximity to all the places we wanted. We wanted something we would walk down and out the door we’d go right away. The room was beautiful and clean spacious we got the premium room. We got there and they left a cute little gift for my daughter as we were there to celebrate her bday. Thank you to the staff, everyone we encountered were so nice!
The staff were friendly and rooms were clean. Located right off Times Square which some may enjoy but I wouldn’t recommend the location. We also unfortunately saw a man who has jumped off a building when we looked out of our window. Obviously not the hotels fault and they changed our room but apparently common in Times Square so keep that in mind. Rooms are clean but quite dated with dark interiors. After being out one day we found the air con vent had fallen completely out and landed on the bed, leaving plaster everywhere. Staff couldn’t fix it so we had a hole in the wall for two nights which wasn’t ideal. Also would have injured us if we had been asleep. If you’re not staying for long this may be a good hotel but not for longer stays.
Nice, clean hotel with working fast elevators. Excellent and safe location. The room was small and only had one trash bin and no chair so be warned. Most employees were friendly, but the younger Latina receptionist could have been warmer, just came off as perfunctory. She seemed to work everyday. And very noisy at night, especially if your windows are facing the busy street, due to cars, construction work (yes, after 10 pm!), people, etc. Windows aren't sound proof. Bring earplugs! Unsure if I would stay here again if I had to pay full price.
