Great staff and location! Mamuka from the front desk was extremely suportive. Tha location is absolutely the best in NYC

This hotel is located at the best spot in NYC. The staff is amazing (especially the front desk gentleman that helped me and my family - Mamuka). We also appreciated how clean our bedrooms were. As much as the room is not that big, the staff and the location made the difference.

Great location but ask lots of questions

I have stayed here before and love the location and rooms. I bring a group of high school students every other year to see shows in New York. I called Paramount again because we enjoyed our previous stay. This year we had some trouble getting invoices before hand so I could bring a school check at check in. I was then told at check in that they would not accept the school check and that it would have had to been mailed at least a week in advance for payment. Which I would have happily done if anyone along the way had told me that. I spoke to multiple people along the way and told each one that I was going to bring a check and no on mentioned that I needed to mail it in advance. So if you are taking a group or not paying in person with a credit card ask lots of questions. But it is a great place to stay and a fantastic location!

Great for solo vacations

I took a solo vacation to New York and this hotel suited my needs perfectly. Wasn't too pricey, at least not when I stayed in early January. The room was tiny but for someone staying by themself it was extremely cozy. Perfect location right by Times Square and a relatively short walk to subway stations. Staff was very friendly.

Not customer friendly and rooms to small

Rooms are very small (photos on site are not realistic), closet for your clothes is also very small (for 2 people) so you have to keep your clothes in your suitcase. Leaving 2 cases flat on the floor, there is no room for that either. So you live ut of your suitcase (as a European usually 5 nights),. Few times with new towels, received a dirty one (always reported) For the rest the hotel is clean. Bar is not cozy, hardly anyone is there. Lobby is nice but then you get from the 'doorman' who is walking around in the lobby, the comment 'I think you are leaving soon' because we had a rest after a long day. I had to tell him that i'm a guest and staying there. Not really friendly if you get this comment while you are a paying customer. Concierge also no help. Asked for nice bar/tips to have a nice drink in the area, he didn't know a single one. To save your luggage before you leave, which many have that you already have to check out and you have a late flight, you have to pay 2 dollars per luggage that you ask to keep. We had 2 suitcases, 1 hand luggage and backpack, that was 8 dollars. I don't think they have customer service there. I would certainly not go back or recommend it. Only real pluspoint is the location, which is very good, 2 minutes from Timesquare.

Hotel location outweighs most issues

We had an issue with the shower, and the safe in our room. But on the whole it was clean and the bed was large and very comfortable. People say the rooms are small, but they are fine for anyone who is visiting the city and doesn't want to spend the whole day in their room. The location just off Times Sq is ideal and was probably the best spot for us to stay with the things we wanted to do and see in the city.
