The Aura Hotel Times Square offers a conveniently located and generally well-regarded stay in the heart of Manhattan, particularly praised for its proximity to Broadway and Times Square. However, some recent reviews highlight inconsistent service, cleanliness issues, and concerns about room size and amenities.
????? I had an excellent experience at Aura Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York City. One of the hotel’s greatest strengths is its unbeatable location. Situated just moments away from Times Square, it offers easy access to Broadway theaters, restaurants, shopping, and public transportation, making it an ideal base for exploring Manhattan. The hotel itself is beautifully renovated, with a modern and elegant design that creates a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Everything feels fresh, thoughtfully designed, and exceptionally well maintained. Cleanliness was outstanding throughout the property, and the room was spotless and comfortable during our entire stay. What truly stood out, however, was the level of service. The staff was consistently attentive, courteous, and eager to help, making us feel valued as guests. After staying here, I can confidently say that Aura Hotel will be my first choice whenever I visit New York. A fantastic property in an excellent location with a team that genuinely cares about its guests. Highly recommended!!!!!!!
Excellent Stay in the Heart of Manhattan My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Aura Hotel, and I can confidently say it exceeded our expectations. The hotel’s location is outstanding—just a few steps from Times Square, making it incredibly convenient to explore New York City’s main attractions, theaters, restaurants, and subway stations. Despite being so close to the action, the hotel provides a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to making our visit enjoyable. The property is spotless, and you can immediately tell it has been recently renovated. The redesign was done with excellent taste, combining modern elegance with comfort and functionality. The rooms and common areas feel fresh, stylish, and very well maintained. Without a doubt, Aura Hotel has become my preferred hotel in New York City. Every time I return to New York, this will be my hotel of choice. Highly recommended. ?????
The hotel has an excellent location, and it is clear that it has been recently renovated, which makes the stay feel modern and pleasant. However, the air conditioning system is still very noisy, as mentioned in other reviews. That said, my main issue was the $250 deposit charged upon arrival. In my experience, this deposit was never refunded, which is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. For that reason, despite the good location and the updated facilities, I would be very cautious about staying here again.
It is a great location. Our room was on the tenth floor. We found it quiet. The room was a decent size, especially by NY standards. The bathroom small, but adequate. There were two a/c’s. One didn’t work but the weather wasn’t too hot, so it was fine. The only real negative is that there was no refrigerator. You could easily have put in a small one. So no place to put water. And no place to bring home our leftovers from all the wonderful restaurants! A 4 star hotel should have this. It was fine all in all, but it don’t really consider it 4 stars.
I booked with them in my birthday, and it was the best experience for me, everything near and all my schedule was done perfectly thanks of the good location of the hotel, so the room was perfect just for myself, always clean, no noises, but the only bad thing was that sometimes the pressure of the water was weak. If I want to walk around time square at night I was at least 5 minutes to be there, it was awsome! Definitely I will back here, maybe in my next Birthday. Staff were very kind and at the end they saved my bag for no extra charge and they were friendly. Ps. I was there the 2do week in January.
From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by staff. Room was big for what I was expecting in NYC and the price couldn’t be beat for being steps from Times Square! I couldn’t believe it. We even had a room facing the street so had a nice little view of the theatre across the street. Was able to walk to some nice restaurants, yoga, shopping and our Broadway show. Seemed very clean and house keeping came each day. Taking a sound machine with us helped drown out some of the typical city noise.
If you plan to stay here, please take good care of your belongings. My partner and I came here on a trip, and I only brought one bottle of face wash. I can't wash my face without it because I have a skin allergy. When I realized I'd forgotten it at the hotel, I called them. They just gave me a number. After that, I called them again, but no one answered. Although it wasn't anything valuable, it caused me a lot of trouble for the rest of my trip. Their service was absolutely terrible.
Where can I start? It was the perfect place to star, really near everything, housekeeping was awesome and the lady that was always cleaning our room was so kind! Then as a person that carries their pillow everywhere, the hotel has the most comfortable beds and pillows ever! Also shout out to Carlos, who was kind enough to talk to us while we waited for our taxi and then for solving us a problem we had with transportation. The staff is really on everything, we had the most magical New York stay and we look forward to go back to the hotel the next time we're around! All absolutely amazing! Greetings from Argentina!
Great hotel. We stayed in the deluxe king room, which had plenty of space for what we needed. Limited space for hanging clothes but no different from most hotels in big cities. Shower was great, hot and good pressure. Great value for what we paid. Me and my husband were made to feel very welcome by all staff. Had to ask at check-in for the drinks vouchers for next door but they happily gave them. Amazing location for Times Square and Broadway and close to subways for getting around - we easily got to Central Park, Queens, Brooklyn, Governor’s Island, financial district. Oh and the bed was VERY comfortable (from someone who is very fussy). Would definitely stay here again.
Amazing hotel. Ignore all the negative reviews about lack of water pressure, it’s fine, plus, you’re in New York City which is notoriously known for this issue, this shouldn’t be pinned on the hotel. Room was perfect, new towels every day, bed also made too! The air con can be loud but I sleep with a fan 365 days a year for noise at night anyway so suited me perfectly. We already want to come back and this will be the hotel we’ll be staying at!
