The Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central offers a convenient base for exploring New York City, thanks to its prime location near Times Square and excellent transportation links. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful staff, particularly at the front desk, and appreciate the well-maintained rooms and amenities. However, some reviews note concerns about noise levels, room size, and occasional service inconsistencies.
The room was tidy and well maintained. The size was reasonable, though not quite worth the price, which feels a bit high for the area. The hotel staff were friendly and quick to assist whenever needed. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Times Square. The room came equipped with a microwave, mini?fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and a safe. The bed was firm and comfortable. There’s no complimentary breakfast, even at the rate charged. Overall, it’s a convenient base for exploring New York City.
I planned a trip for my daughter and I to New York and chose the Hilton Garden Inn via Internet. Upon the initial check-in, I was worried that this wasn’t the hotel for us due to the rooms being smaller than I had anticipated. However, we navigated through this trip with the coziness of the room, the hospitality of the staff was amazing my daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square. Hugs and kisses to Michelle and Maria for making our stay simply amazing. This was such a memorable trip for my daughter and meant so much to her. The staff was absolutely wonderful. I recommend this as a top rated hotel if you’re staying in New York. .
Great location in Times Square but noisy . Very basic hotel for the price; with basic service. The wooden board underneath my toilet sink also and could’ve caused hurt. I appreciated the microwave in the room which is not common! Very useful to heat up take outs.
Michelle at the front desk was the best part of my stay!!! I got to the hotel very early, and she was so helpful and welcoming right away. Later, when I came back to check in, she went out of her way to find me a high-floor room overlooking Times Square, which I appreciated a lot. She did not have to do that, but it made the stay feel really special!! Every time I interacted with her, she was kind, professional, and genuinely nice. I also noticed she was just as great with other guests, which says a lot. The hotel itself was also really impressive. The location is surprisingly not super loud/busy, especially if you want to be near Times Square, and the room was comfortable, clean, and had a great view. I actually regret only booking one night! I would definitely stay here again on future NYC trips. As for Michelle, give this woman her raise, bonus, and promotion!!!!!!
One of my best ever check in experiences ever. I booked through a third-party but Maria at the desk was friendly and accommodating. There was an issue with the reservation (not their fault) and they had to do some additional stuff. While I waiting both Maria and her manager offered me a drink coupon to wait at the bar. I didn't need it and it was resolved quickly. I still got the drink and appatizer coupon. They made me feel like a VIP guest and considering it in a very busy tourist area, to maintain that level of service at the end of the day is remarkable. Gustavo at the bar makes a great Manhattan and the food was delicious. And the room was fine. Every Midtown hotel room is on the small side. My room and bathroom were spacious for a Midtown hotel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
What made this stay or unique was the service of all the people that I met in a hotel? It started with the front desk person Ibita. (? Ftom Columbia ) She was extremely helpful and friendly ! I also had very good experiences with the morning check in people Michelle . The hotel itself was kept very clean And was very functional. Yet why I would say there is solely for the friendliness and service of their people !
Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel because the staff was fantastic from the moment they checked you in to the moment you leave. Staff such as Michelle and Frank were not only polite but friendly, and would go out of their way to help meet your requests or assist in your asks. The hotel's location was fantastic, within minutes' walk of several metro stations, and is of course, within walking distance to Times Square. The only improvement i'd suggest is for the hot water to be heated more quickly. In the interim, just turn the showerhead on for a few minutes before take your bath. Kudos to the team at Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central!
Perfectly licets steps from times square and every major subway line, this hotel is excellent. If I had one complaint it's that with 3 elevators, it can take longer than you like to leave in the morning. Out room was on the 6th floor so I took the stairs before noon. The front desk staff is top notch and there's a restaurant onsite, but I prefer to experience NYC's multitude if dining options including good carts.
Great location, especially for Times Square, everything is within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A big plus is that they accept your luggage before check-in time, which made our arrival much easier. Pros: • Excellent central location • Very friendly and welcoming staff • Luggage storage available before check-in Cons: • Rooms are a bit small However, when you’re in New York, you usually only come back to the hotel to sleep, so the room size wasn’t a big issue for us. Overall, a very convenient and pleasant stay.
The staff were great, every single one of them. My low rating is not because of staff. It's because the rooms are truly awful. It was the least comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Neither my husband nor me were able to get a full night's rest either night because of how low-quality the mattress and sheets were. And neither of us are picky when it comes to beds/hotel rooms -- we just didn't realize it could be this bad. The sheets were the lowest possible quality they could find, it seems. The top sheet gave me the heebie-jeebies, and not because it was unclean - again, this was not a staff issue - it was because it was so obviously straight polyurethane cheapness. Basic rooms were going for $685/night this particular weekend -- I get that you're in a good location, but can you invest a little so that guests can a least sleep? I'm not even talking normal Hilton, but maybe an average Hampton Inn's sheets? Thanks for considering, and thanks to the wonderful staff!
