Aura Hotel Times Square offers unbeatable proximity to the city's major attractions and generally comfortable accommodations, earning praise for its prime location and the comfort of its beds. However, the property deals with significant operational instability, particularly regarding water temperature, heating, and inconsistent housekeeping. Additionally, guests frequently report that rooms are smaller than advertised and receive frustratingly poor service during maintenance issues and cancellations.

I booked with them in my birthday, and it was the best experience for me, everything near and all my schedule was done perfectly thanks of the good location of the hotel, so the room was perfect just for myself, always clean, no noises, but the only bad thing was that sometimes the pressure of the water was weak. If I want to walk around time square at night I was at least 5 minutes to be there, it was awsome! Definitely I will back here, maybe in my next Birthday. Staff were very kind and at the end they saved my bag for no extra charge and they were friendly. Ps. I was there the 2do week in January.

From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by staff. Room was big for what I was expecting in NYC and the price couldn’t be beat for being steps from Times Square! I couldn’t believe it. We even had a room facing the street so had a nice little view of the theatre across the street. Was able to walk to some nice restaurants, yoga, shopping and our Broadway show. Seemed very clean and house keeping came each day. Taking a sound machine with us helped drown out some of the typical city noise.

If you plan to stay here, please take good care of your belongings. My partner and I came here on a trip, and I only brought one bottle of face wash. I can't wash my face without it because I have a skin allergy. When I realized I'd forgotten it at the hotel, I called them. They just gave me a number. After that, I called them again, but no one answered. Although it wasn't anything valuable, it caused me a lot of trouble for the rest of my trip. Their service was absolutely terrible.

Where can I start? It was the perfect place to star, really near everything, housekeeping was awesome and the lady that was always cleaning our room was so kind! Then as a person that carries their pillow everywhere, the hotel has the most comfortable beds and pillows ever! Also shout out to Carlos, who was kind enough to talk to us while we waited for our taxi and then for solving us a problem we had with transportation. The staff is really on everything, we had the most magical New York stay and we look forward to go back to the hotel the next time we're around! All absolutely amazing! Greetings from Argentina!

Great hotel. We stayed in the deluxe king room, which had plenty of space for what we needed. Limited space for hanging clothes but no different from most hotels in big cities. Shower was great, hot and good pressure. Great value for what we paid. Me and my husband were made to feel very welcome by all staff. Had to ask at check-in for the drinks vouchers for next door but they happily gave them. Amazing location for Times Square and Broadway and close to subways for getting around - we easily got to Central Park, Queens, Brooklyn, Governor’s Island, financial district. Oh and the bed was VERY comfortable (from someone who is very fussy). Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing hotel. Ignore all the negative reviews about lack of water pressure, it’s fine, plus, you’re in New York City which is notoriously known for this issue, this shouldn’t be pinned on the hotel. Room was perfect, new towels every day, bed also made too! The air con can be loud but I sleep with a fan 365 days a year for noise at night anyway so suited me perfectly. We already want to come back and this will be the hotel we’ll be staying at!

Aura is lovely. We had a king room and it was very clean and spacious. We encountered difficulty with turning off our bathroom light and facilities immediately came and fixed the problem. The Long Room next door had fantastic food, drinks and service and the free drink coupons from Aura were great! Carlos in the baggage room is one of the nicest people we have ever met. The gym has Peloton equipment. And you cannot beat the location- quick walk to Bryant Park and in the heart of Times Square. We had a view of a wall, but we didn’t come to the city to look out of our hotel window so we didn’t mind. Would definitely stay here again!

Extremely disappointing stay at Aura Hotel Times Square. Our toilet wasn’t cleaned and towels weren’t replaced on one day and housekeeping was completely missed the following day. We arrived at our room at 11PM and found that we had zero clean towels. We contacted the front desk and were told new towels would be delivered and that the used towels and trash would be removed but only the towels arrived, and nothing else was taken care of. What made the experience worse was how unhelpful the front desk was throughout the situation. There was little urgency, poor follow-through, and no real effort to resolve the issue properly. At checkout, we were told a partial refund would be issued, only to later be told that nothing more could be done because the booking was made through Expedia. The compensation offered didn’t even cover the cost of one night, despite multiple service failures during our stay. The lack of accountability and poor communication made an already frustrating experience even worse. In addition to this, we had to call the front desk over 10 times to be able to get a response from them multiple times. For a hotel in this location, I expected far better service and professionalism. I would think twice before staying here again. Save your money for a property that actually cares about your stay.

Upon check in we were allocated a VERY small room, classified as ‘superior’ but it was far from it. As a result we asked to upgrade, however, the bigger room had extremely loud ventilation and heating system and the water pressure in the shower was weak and the water was pretty much cold, and coming out of a cold shower into a cold room in the middle of December is not ideal. The staff did try to help, but unfortunately when the room it cold and heating system doesn’t work well, in addition to the water which doesn’t work well, there’s only so much the staff on site can do. Even when tried to fix the ventilation system, there was no way to make it any quieter. This is a central hotel practically on Times Square, at the most reasonable price for when we stayed (Christmas), however if you book here, you could be setting yourself up for some disappointment. One big positive: bed extremely comfortable.

Stayed here for my birthday in December 2025. Everything about this place was absolutely perfect except for one small thing, the room I was given. I think I was a little unlucky and think I had the smallest room in the hotel. The room itself was clean and nice enough. Just a little cramped for the two of us for four days. Other than that I can't fault anything. The team that work there are all lovely and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Big shout out to Carlos. He's an absolute gentleman. Super friendly and helpful
