Motto by Hilton New York City Times Square offers a convenient and modern base for exploring Times Square and Midtown Manhattan, despite its compact rooms. Guests consistently praise the location, friendly staff, and overall value, while some note minor inconveniences like limited space and occasional service inconsistencies.
The host Yordana at the checkin desk was very sweet. Eneili was helpful when I waa navigating the elevators they have it secure so only guests can navigate it. When you go the bar ask for Frances for drinks. His were delicious and he personalized it to meet what I asked for! The chicken bites are delicious at the Alderman. I had to order another one for the room?. The. Ross and Gabriel at the Alderman were so attentive and kind. The room is nice but it's small and has adjoining doors on both sides which I don't like. Overall my experience has been wonderful!!
My wife and I had a phenomenal experience here. It was a good price compared to other hotels, and the service was amazing. Our room was small but felt very comfortable for 2 people. They were very quick to respond to any questions we had. The housekeeping did a great job, and the staff in the lobby were very kind and professional; holding our luggage before checkin and after checkout.
Rooms are small, but that is typical for NYC. You can select several rooms and open the connecting doors to make the space larger and the shower was good pressure. Frances at the bar was exceptional. Always smiling, gave us recommendations on a rainy day and great drinks! We were there in April and are still talking about him! Thanks for a great stay!
Motto Times Square has truly become my home away from home. I stay there often — usually once or twice a week — and the team consistently makes me feel welcomed and taken care of every time. Ruby and Lika especially have always stood out to me. Since they’ve been there for a while, they’ve gotten to know me, and that familiarity makes every stay feel comfortable and easy. They’re always warm, professional, and genuinely hospitable. The entire team is great, but what I appreciate most is that the service never feels forced. It feels genuine. That’s what keeps me coming back. Motto Times Square isn’t just a convenient hotel for me, it really feels like a place where I’m known, welcomed, and valued.
Location, location, location! Times Square is literally about 30 steps away. The room was nice and cozy, and the subway-tile bathrooms made it feel like you were right down by the tracks — which was actually pretty cool on my first trip to New York. I also had breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious. The server was very friendly and made the experience even better.
You’re in Times Square for a great price. It's close to tons of Midtown amenities, stores, and multiple subway stations, so getting around is extremely easy. I booked this hotel for a weekend getaway and had a great stay with zero complaints. The hotel was modern, clean, quiet, and the staff was consistently friendly & accommodating with any request. I stayed on the 10th floor. The room is definitely small (expected for Midtown Manhattan), but it was well worth it for the reasonable price. The TV was nice and came with plenty of streaming services. Small touches stood out to me as well: I had a $20 daily credit included, the bartender was super helpful when I was trying to find the perfect cocktail under $20 lol, and the front door staff opened the door everytime I entered or left. Definitely recommend.
This hotel is very centrally located, making it convenient for tourists. Because of its location, it’s on the pricier side, but the stay was very comfortable. The room is quite small, especially the bathroom, which offers very little privacy — so it’s better suited for single occupancy. The bedding was very comfortable, and the amenities were great. I would love to return. The only downside is the check-in time at 4 pm and check-out at 10 am, which felt a bit rushed.
We loved our stay at the Motto By Hilton in NYC Times Square. The location is absolutely perfect, super close to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Broadway Shows, Fifth Avenue shopping, etc. We stayed on the 22nd floor, and found the hotel to be super quiet. The housekeeping staff was great, and kept us stocked with complimentary water. We felt really safe as the elevators were completely run by key card, so you could only access your particular floor. Yes, the room is tiny, but it works just fine for a couple or single traveler. We were on a Mother/Teenage son trip, and the twin bunk bed over queen bed room was perfect for us. Privacy is somewhat limited, so be aware if visiting with friends. All in all it was a great stay, and we will plan to return.
My daughter is Active Military, and they refused to honor her paid reservation bec she's 20 yrs old. Their policy is 21 yrs old, so she is left trying to scramble to find a hotel. What a way to honor our service members during the holidays! I called and spoke to the assistant manger, and he refused to understand and hung up on me. This Hilton needs a house cleaning top to bottom.
This stay hit the spot! It is right there near Times Square and super close to Rockefeller Center. It’s near so much. There’s a late night pizza shop and “corner store” right in front of the doors. As you can imagine, the rooms are very small as it is in Times Square. But it’s super comfortable and they’ve done a good job creating storage spaces. It’s honestly smartly designed for a small space. The bed was comfortable and it’s a bougie shower. The two bottle waters they gave you are aluminum so They are refillable. Also included in the resort fee is a $10 food and beverage credit: I think the bar and the restaurant were open till around 11 PM. They also gave a complementary snack, which were some really good chocolate wafers. The service was fantastic, I had a couple requests and they tended to them immediately! Then on my checkout day, they had a host ready to receive bags to hold for the day; You didn’t have to chase somebody down.
