The location of the hotel was perfect and definitely one of its biggest positives. The downstairs lobby area was also clean and well presented. Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. The bathroom was unclean and very run down, and the bedroom was small, dated and in need of refurbishment. Most concerning was finding toenail clippings at the side of my bed, which I only noticed on the last day of our stay. This really made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned before we arrived. The rooms also look very different from the pictures shown online when booking and are much more outdated in person. While the location is excellent, I personally wouldn’t stay here again unless upgrading to a larger, more modern room. However, from what I saw, the hotel rooms in general seem to be in need of an update. It’s a shame because with some refurbishment and much better attention to cleanliness, this could be a great hotel given its fantastic location.

This hotel is more suited for a three-star rating. However, its location and accessibility to numerous train stations are commendable. It’s relatively quiet, though the elevators are quite slow. I understand that it’s a large hotel situated in the heart of Times Square, so it’s practically in the middle of the action. If you’re a tourist, the location is unbeatable. If you’re not really into crowds, this hotel’s location (outside of hotel) is extremely crowded at all times of the day. Mainly, if this is your first time in New York, I can recommend this hotel. The bathrooms are definitely not in the best condition. The shower water takes about 10 minutes to heat up, and the water pressure in both the shower and sink is poor. There’s a flatscreen TV, no refrigerators in the rooms, just a safe and a small wardrobe. The bathrooms also lack washcloths and any special amenities or toiletries. It’s a very basic setup, but it provides a safe place to sleep and connects you to Times Square. The lobby seems to be quite popular, and there’s also a bar or restaurant connected to the hotel.

Probably one of the worst hotels I've ever seen at. Rooms are very small telephone did not work to make a call to reception desk. TV was broken with no reception. They don't give you bars of soap they have pump body wash but no washcloths in room. For the 19 floors that they have there is one ice machine on the 4th floor which doesn't work. The reception desk is no help and doesn't want to be bothered with anything. I will post a video of our air conditioner in our room making enormous amount of noise all night so couldn't sleep. Walls have patches and ceiling has sheetrock falling down. The shower does not get hot at all and the water pressure is horrible. The bathroom was like a bathroom out of a prison. I absolutely don't recommend going to this hotel. I paid over $700 a night for two nights and I stayed at nicer hotels that were under $100 per night

Really great location & entrance / lobby of hotel look nice. However, the extra facilities fee they take additionally to room cost without previous information seems like a scam to me. The room & bathroom where small (as to be expected) but also not too clean. The water pressure in the bathroom was much too low to have a good shower. The drinking water machine was broken.

Had such a wonderful time and such a great stay! The lobby is stunning in the room served its purpose perfectly. It’s a one minute walk from Times Square which is really convenient. And the front desk ladies were a joy!! we ended up making a great relationship with Whitney and Janet, they treated us like family which really stood out and made the experience so memorable!!! Would 100% go back.

We stayed here during a very busy time in NYC so we know we paid far too much for what we got. Having said that - we expected at 300+ a night our room would be clean, it was not. The lobby is inviting and interesting - that's where it ends. The rooms are in need of a makeover but we already knew this going in. They are basic. However, if they were taken care of properly I would be fine with basic. You know that feeling when you enter your hotel and you just know it's yucky? Not overwhelmingly so but you know you just didn't get what you paid for? That was me. We had no wash clothes, dirty pillows, hairs were all over the room which weren't ours & honestly it just needs some refreshing. After finding the filthy pillow I sat it outside in the morning but nobody replaced it. I went to the front desk and asked them for a new pillow and some watch clothes. Reception asked me for my room number twice and assured me they would be delivered - they never were. If you indeed want to be that close to times square (we did not but we had no choice) then find something special and further away from the insanity or if you like that kind of thing stay here but ONLY if the rate is well under 200! It just is not worth it. There are better options which are CLEANER.

Rooms are clean and tidy. The room got made up every day I was there. It was a basic room. So no extras like coffee or tea. But there was a telly. The aircon was a bit noisy. Also had a hair dryer, safe and clothes steam thing. The reception staff were great as were the bar staff.

Overall, my stay was good — clean, comfortable, and definitely above my expectations based on the reviews I had read before booking. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the hotel staff were helpful. I also booked online, and the whole process went without any issues. The room was properly prepared with clean bedding, and during the day the bed was made. Fresh towels were provided, along with shampoo and shower gel — everything you would normally expect was available. The only drawbacks I noticed were dirty windows and some noise coming from external equipment outside the building (air conditioning units). However, with the window closed, it was still possible to sleep without any problem. We were also assigned a room on the 5th floor, so there was no real view. Undoubtedly, the biggest advantage of this hotel is its location and the value for money in this area. Overall, I would rate the stay a solid 4/5.

I admit I was quite hesitant about staying at the Paramount Hotel in Times Square because of the reviews and many people saying how it isn't safe to stay in the area. But I'm genuinely happy I did anyway and would 10000% stay in this hotel again. The location is PERFECT. Literally one minute up the road and you're already in the heart of Times Square with so many places to eat, shop and there's also a 7-Eleven around the corner for anything you might need. We were booked in for 5 nights initially but we ended up staying an additional 2 nights because our flight was cancelled. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. A HUGE thank you and special mention to ARIEL, who went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after during this stressful time. We had two family rooms booked (409 and 1525) which did differ in size. One was much bigger than the other but in all honesty, we didn't mind it AT ALL, especially as we were predominantly out during the day. Regardless, the beds were super comfy, rooms cleaned everyday and where it was absolutely freezing in New York at the time we went, it was always nice and warm in the room. It served its purpose for us. One thing I think is worth mentioning, which I know some people wouldn't like, is the breakfast is a grab-and-go option - one drink and a warm croissant (plain or ham/egg and cheese options) or granola. For us, this worked well as we took our food out but you could also sit in the restaurant if you liked, but can get quite busy around 8-10am. It just isn't a "full" breakfast. Each to their own but it wasn't a problem for us. Overall, super super happy to have stayed here and if ever we're in New York again, this will be our first pick!

Such a great stay at Paramount Times Square! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming from start to finish, which made everything feel so easy and enjoyable. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and you truly can’t beat the location. Right in the heart of Times Square with everything just steps away. Short, sweet, and exactly what you want for an NYC stay!
